About Amy

Amy Joy Snyder is a self-taught artist and illustrator based in Ashland, Oregon. Her work primarily focuses on landscape: capturing the fleeting beauty of the constantly changing light and color. Emotional connection to her work is what Amy strives for, as she believes that beauty is sacred. Hills, forests, and mountains are her source of inspiration, and there is plenty to be found in Ashland.

Currently, Amy is in the BFA program at Southern Oregon University. In addition, she is a full-time mother of four children, whom she homeschools. (Yes, life is busy!) Her husband is a counselor in Ashland. Their dream is to eventually own a large piece of property, have goats and chickens, and host couples weekends and artist retreats.
