Amy Joy Snyder is a self-taught artist and illustrator based in Ashland, Oregon. Her work primarily focuses on subtle, minimalist abstract paintings using watercolor, as well as creating beautifully unique watercolor portraits. Amy uses techniques she has honed over the past two years to create stunning displays of color, contrast, and texture. Emotional connection to her work is what Amy strives for, as she believes that beauty is sacred.
When she is not painting, Amy is a full-time mother of four children, two of whom she homeschools. Her husband is attending school full time to become a marriage and family therapist. Their dream is to eventually own a large piece of property, have goats and chickens, and host couples weekends and artist retreats.
With every purchase on this site, a portion is donated to Love146, a non-profit organization that rescues children from human trafficking. This is something near to Amy’s heart. As a mom of four, it's devastating to know that so many children around the world are suffering years of abuse and neglect. Amy wants to do her part in bringing them out of that darkness.
